Mobile Electric Star Screen
Low hours
With exceptional capabilities in effectively cleaning-up trommel fines, particularly when used in conjunction with a density separator (to separate the light fraction), Pearson star screens can process up to 95% of trommel fines as top cover, and in some cases can even help to completely avoid landfill and associated taxes.
The adjustable shaft star screen machines are unique to Pearson and have been specifically designed to enable the operator to quickly reset the screening size in seconds, without stopping the machine. This offers ultimate flexibility when handling a variety of bulk waste materials and eliminates costly downtime if a change in screening size is required. In addition, all Pearson star screen modules feature inverter direct drive, ensuring a very low maintenance machine, as the need for high maintenance chains and sprockets linking shafts is completely removed.
Pearson star screens are essentially aggressive graders which are used for separating and sorting bulk waste materials that have previously been shredded or pre-screened through a trommel or alternative primary screen, such as a finger screen. Pearson’s star screening modules work by agitating the waste material to encourage smaller fractions to drop through the screening stars and underneath the machine, leaving the larger fraction to be carried over the star screen and discharged over the end of the machine.
With screening sizes of 10-50mm on adjustable star screening machines and up to 150mm on the fixed star screen design, Pearson screens are extremely versatile and can be used for a wide range of bulk waste screening including C&D Waste, Biomass, VCU Composting, RDF, MRF Systems, Carpet and more.
